Our work is grouped into five programmes. Within these are around 20 to 25 research topics, which between them cover the breadth of socio-economic research on climate change and the environment.
Three overarching themes feature in all our programmes and shape our research questions:
-
Policy leadership across the globe: policy approaches that are emerging in many countries, including emerging economies;
-
The response and responsibilities of business: studying climate change, both the risks and the opportunities, from the angle of the private sector;
-
Risk and uncertainty: the understanding, quantification and management of uncertainty in both mitigation and adaptation.
