Alessandro Tavoni

Research fellow

Alessandro joined the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment in October 2010. He is currently investigating the role of fairness motives in sustaining cooperative behavior in the global commons (eg coping with climate change). This is tackled through a combination of evolutionary game theory models, experiments and simulations, in an effort to shed light on how inequity concerns affect environmental management.

Background

Alessandro holds a PhD in Economics from Universita' Ca' Foscari, Venice and has been a member of the Levin Lab at Princeton University, as well as a researcher at FEEM and ZEW.

He was previously a postdoctoral researcher at the Grantham Research Institute.
