Annalisa Albanesi is a Visiting Research Student at LSE IDEAS and PhD Candidate at the Ortega y Gasset Research Institute - University Complutense of Madrid (Spain).
She graduated in International Relations at the University of Bologna, Italy (2005). She received her Master Degree in Latin American Studies from the University of Alcalá de Henares – Ortega y Gasset Research Institute, Madrid Spain (2007). She has been Visiting Research Student at Instituto de Historia de Nicaragua y Centroamérica, (IHNCA) of the Centroamerican University of Managua, Nicaragua (2004) and at the History Centre of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaiso (PUCV), Chile (2010).
She is undertaking studies on Contemporary Political History of Chile in comparative perspective. Her Research is mainly focused on the political opposition of the Chilean Catholic Church at Pinochet's Dictatorship, with special attention to the interaction between national and international context.
She works at the University of Camerino, Italy
