María Constanza Apodaca del Hoyo is a Visiting Research Student at LSE IDEAS and PhD Candidate at the University of Salamanca.
María Constanza Apodaca del Hoyo graduated in History at the University of Salamanca, Spain, in 2007, and obtained the DEA (Advanced Studies Diploma) at the same university in 2010. She is a PhD candidate at the University of Salamanca and holds a fellowship for the Training of University Teachers from the Spanish Ministry of Education. She has also been a visiting research student at the Unité mixte de recherche Identités, Relations Internationales et Civilisations de l'Europe (UMR IRICE, Universités Paris 1 et Paris 4, CNRS 8138). The subject of her research are the relations between the Great Powers and the decolonisation of the Middle East during the Cold War years, with special focus on the Arab-Israeli conflict. As for her areas of research, they include International History, Cold War and the Middle East.
