Cecilia Notini Burch is a Visiting Research Student at LSE IDEAS and PhD Candidate at the History Department of Stockholm University.
Her main academic interests lie within the fields of political history, Cold War ideology, norms and values. Her research analyses the relationship between refugee policy and security policy during the Cold War. In her thesis, she explores the effect that the complex international situation of the Cold War had on Sweden's refugee policies concerning Soviet and Baltic citizens between 1945 and 1960. She will defend her PhD thesis in 2012.
