Wim Van der Stede
Professor Wim A. Van der Stede recognised by the American Accounting Association|

At its 2011 Annual Meeting in Denver the AAA recognised Professor Van der Stede for "his outstanding leadership, initiative and service as Management Accounting Section President 2010–2011".  He continues his service to the Section as Past President, and to the AAA on its Council and its Finance Committee.

Our three-year undergraduate degree aims to give students an understanding of accounting and finance that will be useful throughout their careers and to develop critical and analytical skills to evaluate relevant issues in accounting and financial management in organisations.

 
Diploma in Accounting and Finance
|
The Diploma in Accounting and Finance is designed for students with little or no previous knowledge of accounting and finance who wish to study these subjects further, or who wish to undertake postgraduate studies in accounting and finance but lack the depth of knowledge necessary to commence masters level study.

MSc Accounting, Organisations and Institutions

|Our intention is that this MSc will attract well-trained students from a wide range of disciplines, including those outside the domain of accounting. It is designed for those who wish to understand more about the multiple roles of accounting, whether they wish to become accountants or not. No prior knowledge of accounting is required.
 
MSc Accounting and Finance
|
This degree leads to a Masters of Science in Accounting and Finance. Students typically take four taught courses, with examinations at the end of the academic year.  
PhD in Accounting
|
The aim of the programme is to train students whose research is of the highest international quality in Accounting broadly conceived. The Department has a very strong research culture that includes an active seminar programme and a programme of distinguished visitors. It also has close links with the Centre for Analysis of Risk and Regulation (CARR).
