LSE China & SE Asia Careers Fairs 2011

Update - Hong Kong fair e-ticket technical problems
Due to a technical fault, you may be experiencing difficulties printing your e-ticket for the Hong Kong careers fair. We apologise for this issue. We are now accepting students without their e-ticket, so if you have a booking for the fair, please still come along. You will still be able to enter the fair without your ticket - your booking is still valid and we will definitely be able to admit you.

LSE Careers is once again collaborating with Imperial, Oxford and Cambridge to bring you the China and South East Asia careers fairs. Last year's fairs in Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing proved very successful with several LSE attendees obtaining placements and job offers as a result of attending the events.

The fairs are held in Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Careers@Singapore Fair is open to any student interested in working in Singapore. Students attending the Beijing and Shanghai fairs should speak fluent Mandarin and have the right to work in China.

Fair brochures

Update: Ernst & Young are now confirmed for the Beijing Fair

In the brochure you will find further information about each employer attending. Students who have been successful in the past are the ones that have done their research beforehand and have approached each organisation in a professional and positive manner. Some employers are conducting interviews very close to the dates of the fairs – fully research what the companies do, be absolutely clear on what you have to offer them and what type of role you want to do.

Please print out of the fair brochure and bring it with you to the fair. Please note changes may be made to the brochure between now and the fair. For the most up to date version print it the day before the fair).

What are employers looking for?

The majority of employers are recruiting for full time or graduate positions that start in the summer of 2012 Other have immediate roles. Some employers will also be recruiting summer interns. You are strongly advised to do your research. Please read the brochure carefully and view organisations websites for further information regarding their requirements.

Will organisations be holding job interviews at the Fairs?

Organisations won't be holding formal interviews at the Fairs. However, at past fairs some organisations have held informal discussions so come prepared. Students have been employed by organisations (including Standard Chartered Bank, Ernst and Young, Deutsche Bank, BDA Consulting, Oliver Wyman, Jones Lang LaSalle) We encourage organisations to try to schedule interviews close to the dates of the Fairs to enable students to be interviewed whilst they are in mainland China, Hong Kong and Singapore. If an employer wishes to invite you to interview they will contact you directly.
