LSE-TISS

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences| (TISS) and London School of Economics and Political Science research collaboration, supported by the Jamsetji Tata Trust, was launched at LSE on 26th June 2007|.

The focus of this 5-year research collaboration is to develop and engage with academics from both institutions on social science research of mutual interest. This programme provides opportunities for senior faculty in both institutions to lead in the development of research, together with junior colleagues, through workshops, seminars and discussions.

The focus of this 5-year programme has been for the two institutions to collaborate on social science research in areas of mutual interest. The programme has enabled academics from LSE and TISS to organise workshops and other dissemination programmes at LSE and TISS. It has provided support for visiting fellowships. The programme has enabled the publication of several books and research papers by academics from both institutions. Some teaching programmes have also been set up.

The programme has been undertaken in two streams, namely, Social Sciences and Health.
