Professor Kevin Featherstone, LSEE Co-Chair
Professor Featherstone is Eleftherios Venizelos Professor of Contemporary Greek Studies and Director of the Hellenic Observatory in the European Institute at the LSE. He specialises in the politics of the European Union and in contemporary Greek politics. His recent publications have covered: the concept and application of 'Europeanisation'; the process leading to the EMU agreement at Maastricht; the domestic consequences of Economic & Monetary Union, especially in Southern Europe; the relationship between EU policies and the domestic reform of pensions and labour markets.

Professor Sevket Pamuk, LSEE Co-Chair
Professor Pamuk is Chair of Contemporary Turkish Studies in the European Institute, LSE. He is a leading economic historian of the Ottoman Empire, the Middle East and modern Turkey. He graduated from Yale University and obtained his PhD. degree in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley. He has since taught at various universities in Turkey and the United States including Ankara, Pennsylvania, Villanova, Princeton, Michigan at Ann Arbor, Northwestern and beginning in 1994 at Bogaziçi (Bosphorus) University, Istanbul as Professor of Economics and Economic History.

Dr Vassilis Monastiriotis, Senior, Lecturer, Acting Director
Dr Monastiriotis is Senior Lecturer in the Political Economy of South Eastern Europe at the LSE. His research focuses on economic policy and performance at the regional, national and supra-national levels, with emphasis on trade, FDI and the labour market. He has published numerous articles in economics and regional science and received various distinctions including the Moss Maden Medal in Regional Science (2008) and an EIB Paper Competition Award (2001). His current research includes projects on Balkan economic cooperation, regional policy, and employment flexibility in Greece. He has a PhD in Economic Geography (LSE), an MSc in Economics (University of Macedonia) and a BSc in Economic Development (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki).

Dr Spyros Economides, Senior Lecturer, LSEE Co-ordinator
Dr Economides is Senior Lecturer in International Relations and European Politics at the LSE. He holds a B.Soc. Sc. from the University of Birmingham and completed his MSc and PhD at the LSE. He has been on the staff of the LSE since 1991. He has also been a Research Associate at the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London and acted as Specialist Adviser to the House of Lords EU Committee in its report, 'Responding to the Balkan Challenge: The Role of EU Aid'. His publications include: UN Interventionism: 1991-2004 (edited with Mats Berdal, 2007); and The Economic Factor in International Relations (with Peter Wilson, 2001). He is currently writing on the EU's Balkan experience since 1991.

Dr James Ker-Lindsay, Senior Research Fellow, LSEE Public Events UK
Dr Ker-Lindsay is Eurobank EFG Senior Fellow on the Politics of South East Europe. He holds a BSc (Econ) from the University of London and a MA and PhD in International Conflict Analysis from the University of Kent. A specialist on conflict, peace and security, from 1998-2000 he served as the Co-ordinator of the Greek-Turkish Forum, a semi-official peace support initiative administered by the Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies (RUSI). His books include EU Accession and UN Peacemaking in Cyprus (2005), Crisis and Conciliation: A Year of Rapprochement between Greece and Turkey (2007) and Kosovo: The Path to Contested Statehood in the Balkans (2009).

Dr Will Bartlett, Senior Research Fellow, LSEE Research Grants and Networks
Dr Bartlett is Senior Research Fellow in the Political Economy of South East Europe. He holds a BA in Economics from the University of Cambridge, an MA in Development Economics from the School for Oriental and African Studies, and a PhD from the University of Liverpool. He was President of the European Association for Comparative Economics from 2006-08. His books include, Croatia: between Europe and the Balkans, (Routledge 2003), and Europe's Troubled Region: economic development, institutional reform and social welfare in the Western Balkans (Routledge 2008).

Dr Vesna Bojicic-Dzelilovic, Senior Research Fellow at LSE Global Governance
Dr Bojicic-Dzelilovic is Senior Research Fellow at LSE Global Governance. Her main areas of research concern problems of economic transition of former communist regimes with a particular focus on the rise in informal practice, political economy of conflict and post- conflict reconstruction. She has written on those issues in the context of South East Europe and teaches on related topics at LSE graduate programme in Global Politics. Dr Bojicic-Dzelilovic holds a PhD in Economic Development from the University of Sarajevo.
