The Cañada Blanch Centre for Contemporary Spanish Studies is part of the European Institute at the London School of Economics and Political Science and is the focus of a flourishing interest in contemporary Spain in Britain.
The Centre organizes different events| and promotes an exciting range of publications|, in the form of a series of books as well as articles in peer-reviewed journals on the history, politics, society and economy of Spain. Distinguished scholars who come as Visiting Fellows are offered the facilities of the Cañada Blanch Centre and LSE libraries, as well as archival resources.

On the 18 of January 2012, the Italian Prime Minister visited the LSE. Professor Paul Preston was introduced to Mr. Mario Monti by Peter Sutherland, KCMG, Chairman of the LSE Council and Court of Governors.
