Hilary Lawson is a philosopher and broadcaster. After graduating from Balliol College Oxford with a 1st in PPE he began a DPhil on problems of self-reference. His subsequent philosophical career has been driven by attempts to overcome the crisis in meaning that self-reference can be seen to engender.
His books include: 'Closure', an attempt to offer a 'post-modern metaphysics', 'Reflexivity: The Post-Modern Predicament' and 'Dismantling Truth: Reality in the Post Modern World'.
As a documentary filmmaker, and broadcaster, Hilary has been responsible for a number of award-winning programmes, and is the founder of TVF a leading independent production company.
