Research Projects

The core and associated staff of the Hellenic Observatory engage in a number of in-house, collaborative and commissioned projects along the thematic lines and geographic focus defined by our strategic aims and mission|.

• Measuring Institutional and Non-Institutional Aspects of Labour Market Flexibility in Greece
  This project is supported by funding from the Greek Ministry of Economics and Finance.
• Regionalism as a Developmental Strategy for Southeast Europe
  This is an umbrella project with various small projects supported by funding from the SEE Research Fund. 

• The Enemy That Never was: the Turkish/Muslim Minority of Thrace during the Axis occupation and the Greek Civil War, 1941-49
  This project is supported by the Arts and Humanities Research Council of the UK (Grant: AH/D502616/1). 
• Maximising the Benefits of Migration in a Small / Island Economy: the case of the island of Rhodes
  This project will be conducted in collaboration with Dr Eugenia Markova, former Senior Research Fellow at the Hellenic Observatory. It is supported by the John S. Latsis Foundation.
• KAPA Research Survey on Poverty in Greece
  This is a project undertaken by 'ΚΑΠΑ Research' in Greece, to which the HO offers advisory services on a consultancy basis. For further details see KAPA Research
