Biography

Dr Florence Deloche-Gaudez is a Visiting Fellow in the European Institute and an Associate Research Fellow at the Centre for European Studies, Sciences Po Paris. She currently co-heads the Observatory of European Institutions, aimed at collecting quantitative data on EU decision-making in order to give new insight into EU institutional analysis.

Florence has co-edited the Observatory's publications: Elargissement - Comment l'Europe s'adapte; What is Europe up to? (Presses de Sciences Po, 2006 ; 2009). She has been Secretary-General of the Centre for European Studies, Sciences Po Paris, where she has lectured on EU institutions. Previously, Florence followed the European Convention’s work very closely in Brussels. It has led her to give presentations on the Convention method and the Constitutional Treaty in different places (European University Institute, New York University, Harvard University). She has widely published on these matters, including La Constitution Européenne: Que Faut-il Savoir? (Presses de Sciences Po, 2005) and has been a regular contributor on these issues in the media. On different occasions, Florence has worked with the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She has collaborated on the 'Quermonne' report delivered to the French government on EU institutional reform. She has published on France's EU policy, notably within the Trans-European Policy Studies Association TEPSA.
