LSE Scholarships|
Please note: Admissions for the MPhil/PhD programme for 2012/13 entry are now CLOSED. Admissions for entry in 2013/14 are expected to open in October 2012.
There is intense competition for admission, therefore early applications have a greater chance of being successful and of meeting financial support/scholarship and, where applicable, visa deadlines. Please check the availability of programmes before you apply.
Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Funding|

The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) isthe UK's largest funder of research on economic and social issues. The ESRC funds 1+3, 2+2 and +3 studentships. LSE will nominate offer holders for studentships on the basis of academic merit and research potential. In order to be considered you will need to have completed an application to the School.
Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) Funding|

The Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) supports world-class research that furthers our understanding of human culture and creativity. The Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) award is available across the following subject areas: Design, European Language and Culture, Film and Television Studies, History, Law, Philosophy.
LSE will nominate offer holders for studentships on the basis of academic merit and research potential. In order to be considered you will need to have completed an application to the School.

Erasmus Exchange Schemes
Not only can EI research students spend up to 4 months at the European University Institute in Florence, students can now also spend a term at the Max Planck Institute, Cologne, and the Central European University, Budapest. All LSE students, regardless of nationality, are eligible for an Erasmus grant for the duration of their stay abroad, provided they have not received an Erasmus grant before.
