Discussing two central government case studies as thought experiments. This seminar discussed how activities might be reconfigured without harming service users but in a way that can reduce running costs and (possibly) some programme costs.
Part of the seminar will examine the implications of moving social security benefits online in the context of the Department for Work and Pension's move to put Jobseeker's Allowance applications online from summer 2009 with applications for State Pension due to begin from November 2009.
