Biography


Dr James Gledhill read Philosophy, Politics and Economics at New College, Oxford and completed his MSc and PhD in the Department of Government at LSE. His doctoral thesis focused on the relationship between moral theory and social theory in the work of G.A. Cohen, John Rawls and Jürgen Habermas and was awarded in 2010.

Research Interests


Contemporary political and moral philosophy, especially the relationship between the work of John Rawls and Jürgen Habermas; justification in political and moral philosophy, especially constructivism and reconstructivism; history of modern political thought.
