MPhil / PhD Students

We encourage registered LSE doctoral students with a human rights interest to affiliate to the Centre for the Study of Human Rights, but the Centre itself does not have a doctoral programme. Though academics based in the Centre supervise PhD students, they do this via their home department (e.g. Law or Sociology)

MPhil/ PhD students affiliated to the Centre:

  • Annie Bird
  • Banu Burns
  • Amanda Conroy
  • Damiano de Felice
  • Viviane Dittrich
  • Katya Ivanova
  • Peter Manning
  • Tamlyn Monson
  • Anne Saab
  • Sally-Anne Way
  • Susannah Willcox

Human Rights Doctoral Network

In partnership with the the Human Rights Centre at the University of Essex and the Centre of Governance and Human Rights at the University of Cambridge, we co-ordinate a multi-disciplinary Human Rights Doctoral Network.

The Human Rights Doctoral Network, launched in November 2011,  aims to encourage the widest participation and collaboration by PhD students researching human rights from the partner institutions. Students from all three partner institutions have presented and commented on their work at special networking and workshop events - the first in Essex in November 2011, the second at LSE in March 2012.

MPhil/ PhD students from the partner institutions are encouraged to get in touch.
