Introduction to Economics
Please note that International Development's Pre-sessional Economics course runs on Monday 26th September 10.00-12.00 (room NAB.LG.08) and 14.00-17.00 (room EAS.E171) and Tuesday 27th September 10.00-13.00 in (room EAS.E171). The course is aimed at introducing students with no or little economics background to basic concepts. If you have studied Economics to A-level or above, then this is not for you. This is NOT the same as EC400| which is a month long pre-sessional economics course run by the Department of Economics primarily for their students.

New students should bring some form of photographic identification (for example passport). New graduate students should also bring any documents that they have not yet provided (for example transcript of results).
Any changes will be notified on the LSE registration information page at Registration 2011 (graduate students)|. Details of registration for second year part-time students can be found in Section 2.

Where is International Development?
International Development staff are mainly on the 7th and 8th floors of Connaught House, with a few on the 6th floor. Sue and Dru are in Room H816, on the 8th floor. Please see the map of LSE buildings at Finding your way around LSE|.

Allocation of Academic Advisers
Academic advisers will be assigned during the first week of the Michaelmas Term. International Development has an open door policy (students can sign up to speak with any member of staff), students are encouraged to make use of this from the 4th week of Michaelmas Term. Please note that advisers may change from one term to the next, depending on the availability of staff who may be on sabbatical or research leave.
Accessing the LSE IT network
To access IT facilities at LSE you need a Username and Password. There are two ways you could have obtained this, i.e. before arriving at LSE via LSE for You web page or after arriving by following the instructions given on the leaflet How to obtain your computer account at the campus.
Part-Time Students
Please make sure that Sue (s.redgrave@lse.ac.uk|) and Dru (d.daley@lse.ac.uk|) in the International Development Office know if you are a part-time student. We are then able to give you priority on seminar allocations, etc.

Please note that International Development do not have anything to do with fees. Please contact the Fees Office| if you have any queries.
