Venue: Knights Templar, 95 Chancery Lane, Near Fleet Street, WC2A 1DT|

Time: 6:30pm till 11pm

After all the dragging essays and burdensome problem sets, The LSESU History Society and Economics Society are proud to host the Christmas Fancy Dress Party to add a memorable conclusion to term. The theme is 'This Term, This History' so come as any character you have taken an interest in this term! To further get the creative juices flowing, there will be a prize for best costume alongside free food and drink we hope this will be a great opportunity to meet new and old friends from different years and courses and even see some of your professors in fancy dress!

Hey Historians:

The Big Fat International History Pub Quiz of the Year

Date: Tuesday 22nd November

Time: 7PM

Place: The Underground (down the stairs in the Three Tuns)

We hope that you are all having a good start to the week as the November nights draw in.

In order to take your mind off history essays, we've decided to hold a pub quiz based around history (perhaps we didn't think that one through).

The kind-hearted members of the Faculty will be popping along as well lend their collective brain power to the various teams, being a competitive bunch, be careful not to get caught in any cross-team debates over the questions.

If you want to bring a friend along that would be great, although we may ask for a donation of £2 so they can become full members of the best History Society at the LSE.

Kind regards

The Committee

History Department and Society Meet and Greet

The now traditional meet and greet (it's only three years old, but that is still a tradition) is a great chance to meet your new committee and fellow history society members. Many exalted members of the History Faculty have said that they will be popping along as well, so please come early to ensure that you beat the crowd that will inevitably surround them.

It is a truth universally acknowledged that, despite all matter of academic nuance and commitment to work ethnic, most of the people to this event do turn up because of the limited supply of free drink. We have now grown to accept this and therefore, please do come along and enjoy yourself. It really is a fun way to start the year!

Kind regards

The History Committee
