Dr Robert Falkner is Senior Lecturer in International Relations at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He holds degrees in politics and economics from Munich University and a doctorate in international relations from Oxford University. At LSE, he serves as Convenor of the Summer School and is an associate of the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment. He is also an Associate Fellow of the Energy, Environment and Development Programme at Chatham House and of the Global Governance Project at Amsterdam University.

His main teaching and research interests are in international political economy, with special emphasis on global environmental politics, multinational corporations, risk regulation and global governance. His most recent book, Business Power and Conflict in International Environmental Politics (Palgrave Macmillan), was first published in 2008 and re-issued in paperback in 2009.
