External Relations Division

The External Relations Division was established on 1 June 2007 with the arrival of Robin Hoggard as director.

The purpose of the division is to help increase the impact and influence of the LSE and its work externally, in support of the School's historical mission to contribute to wider society as well as to promote academic excellence. This is to benefit the whole LSE community.

The division brings together several existing functions - click on each to go to their websites:

  • Academic Partnerships
  • Conference and Events
  • Communications - comprising Press and Information, Design Unit and Web Services, Photography Unit, and online video production
  • The division is responsible for the School's representation in China - see LSE China
  • The division runs the Linking Up programme (login required) to encourage and enable LSE academic staff to undertake external relations activities when travelling.
  • Academic Publishing moved to Library Services on 31 Oct 2011
