The External Relations Division was established on 1 June 2007 with the arrival of Robin Hoggard as director.
The purpose of the division is to help increase the impact and influence of the LSE and its work externally, in support of the School's historical mission to contribute to wider society as well as to promote academic excellence. This is to benefit the whole LSE community.

The division runs the Linking Up programme (login required) to encourage and enable LSE academic staff to undertake external relations activities when travelling.

In Summer 2010 we invited applications from LSE academic staff who would like to serve as Regional Champions| for the School in the Middle East, Latin America, India or the USA.
