LSE host a public lecture programme (PLP) consisting of over 100 lectures every term. Recent speakers at the School have included Sebastian Piñera , President of Chile; Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer; Harriet Harman MP; and Nobel Prize winner Professor Amartya Sen, as well as other leading politicians and academics.
The lectures are free and open to all with some events requiring a ticket so please check the individual web listing. The events generally take place in the early evening and last approximately one and a half hours, including a question and answer session.
In addition to the PLP there are a large number of other events taking place at LSE hosted by an academic department or student society - the majority of events are listed on the Public Events| web pages.
