Career-Track Lectureship in Urban Planning Studies

Salary: £40,123 to £46,477 per annum inclusive

Senior Lecturer in International Relations, Department of International Relations

LSE Fellow in International Political Economy

You will contribute to the teaching of international political economy in the Department of International Relations at the LSE.

 You should have completed your PhD or be close to completion and experience of university-level teaching in International Relations would be an advantage.

You will be expected to teach international environmental politics and the MSc IPE core course International Political Economy, but candidates with expertise in other areas of IPE (in particular, economic diplomacy, trade policy and politics of money/finance) should also apply.

Senior Registry Assistant

 Based within the Student Services Centre, the Registry provides a wide variety of services to students, academic departments and other users and is committed to delivering an excellent service to all.

You will provide a high level of support to the Deputy Registry Manager in the delivery of Registry services.  This includes assisting with the annual registration event, assisting with the main School examination period, servicing and attending Examination Boards, maintaining student records accurately and assisting with the presentation ceremonies.  You will assist with the day-to-day running of the Registry team and deputise for the Deputy Registration Manager as required.

You should have previous relevant administrative experience, excellent IT and service delivery skills, the ability to meet deadlines and have a flexible, helpful and positive approach. Previous experience of using databases is essential and experience of SITS would be an advantage.

LSE Health wishes to appoint a full time Research Assistant to work on topics relating to the regulation of health professionals internationally. The post will be for two years in the first instance with the possibility of renewal thereafter.

Estates Division is currently recruiting for the post of Storeperson to join our in-house maintenance team at the London School of Economics in the central London.

The post's duties will mainly consist of issuing materials and spares to our large team of maintenance technicians and contractors, raising purchase orders, contacting suppliers, safe storage of all supplies, and maintaining accurate stock levels and records.

Fitness, flexibility and tolerance will be required, as the busy maintenance section has to react promptly and efficiently to emergency situations as well as dealing with planned maintenance issues on a very large campus.

You will also be expected to assist the maintenance team with minor duties if called upon.

The successful candidate will have stores experience in the following trades: building, plumbing, electrical, and must also be competent in operating a variety of computerized facility management systems, such as 'Planon' and at least one stock control application.

You should also be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be confident in dealing with a wide range of internal and external customers.

LSE Enterprise Ltd, the commercial arm of LSE seek to appoint a Project Administrator.

The role of the Project Administrator is to support the Project Coordinator and Project Manager on numerous projects and business activities. The Project Administrator will be required to take on both an administration, event co-ordination and a business development role. Therefore multi-tasking and a flexible approach to managing one's work schedule are essential.

 The Project Administrator will be working in a team that runs Executive Education programmes. These are run both in the UK and abroad and vary in length from one day to 10 weeks. Management of these programmes is a complex task and we are looking for someone who can support both the programmes and the team administration to enable all tasks to be completed in a timely and accurate manner.

 Research Officer - International Governance of Synthetic BiologyBIOS Centre, LSE

Part-time 17.5 hours per week

We wish to appoint a post-doctoral Research Officer in the BIOS Centre for the Study of Bioscience, Biomedicine, Biotechnology and Society. You will be responsible for conducting a research project on the International Governance of Synthetic Biology, under the supervision of Dr Claire Marris and in collaboration with the Royal Society Science Policy Centre. You will help further the research and policy agenda of the BIOS Centre in its work on the social study of synthetic biology, which is being conducted in part through a partnership with Imperial College.

You will have a completed doctorate in an area related to the social studies of science or international governance, experience of conducting research projects,excellent writing skills and a developing record of scholarly social science research publications.

This is a part time post for 12 months in the first instance, however we welcome applications from candidates who would be in a position to increase their time commitment to the post if circumstances require.
