Programme Office

What we do

The ITS Programme Office (PO) exists to ensure the successful management of projects within IT Services and the wider school community.

The projects undertaken will be selected in line with the school's strategic objectives thereby achieving tangible benefits in line with the school's strategy.

Using the key roles of Programme Management, Business Analysis and Project Management the team will work with stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered using best practice techniques, with the industry recognised methodology of PRINCE2.

What is a project?

The PO considers as a project any piece of work which depends on numerous capabilities and resources, follows a definitive lifecycle with start and end dates and incorporates the contributions of a variety of people who may enter, leave and re-enter the process as needed.

Most importantly, a project involves highly-specific agreed-upon plans (e.g. user testing) and represents a temporary management effort undertaken to achieve a defined beneficial outcome.
