The 2010 Upgrade

IT Services are upgrading all LSE computers to Office 2010 and Windows 7.

Progress

All PC's in public rooms, the majority in PhD rooms and many staff PC's have already been upgraded.

A major push is planned to upgrade a large number of staff PC's during July and August 2011.

For a smooth transition

• Find out how the LSE Support tab in Word, Excel and PowerPoint will save you a lot of time and frustration.
  
• Sign up for IT Training's new workshop: Getting to grips with the Office 2010 upgrade.  Part taught course, part workshop, this is your opportunity to try out the new software and get answers to any questions or concerns.
  
• Request a 10-minute presentation for your department, providing an overview of the changes in Office 2010.
  
• Watch bite sized demonstrations of the impressive new features.
  
• Select from a series of online guides that focus on getting up to speed with 2010 and various tools and techniques.
  
• Look at the Office 2010 Compatibility guide  if trying to open an Office 2010 file in 2003.
