IT facilities and software

High standard IT facilities are widely used throughout the School campus and at the halls of residence.

Facilities for students

LSE has around 1000 PCs in computer classrooms, open access computer areas around the School and the residence computer rooms. All computer classrooms and open access areas have printing facilities.

Student computer areas| include:

  • Open access computer areas
    • solely for individual use
    • not booked at any time for class teaching
  • Computer classrooms 
    • used for class teaching and IT skills training
    • open to any member of the School for their individual work at other times
    • Bookings can be seen at lobby kiosk computers, plasma screens, and online
  • Printing facilities in each student computer area

The Teaching and Learning Spaces Services also provides audio-visual support for student events|

Facilities for staff

The Teaching and Learning Spaces Service provide support for teaching rooms and lecture theatres in and around LSE. We also cover public lectures, large scale events and meetings taking place on campus.

Teaching and Learning Spaces Service can assist with:

PCs, printers and other IT equipment for offices is maintained and supported by user support teams

Software sales and information

LSE IT Services maintains a list of all the software installed on the LSE desktop.|
