Adrian Hall is the Secretary and Director of Administration.
"My role as Secretary and the Director of the Administration is concerned with the Central Administration and development of services; and with governance. I also have responsibilities in the Strategic Plan such as increasing satisfaction with the staff experience.
Since I took up this post in 2003, I have paid special attention to communication and consultation within the School, introducing a termly meeting with senior support staff, taking the lead on the design and development of the Staff Consultative Council and chairing the Investors in People (IiP) action group for the Central Administration. I am always looking for opportunities to see how we can build on these initiatives. Good communication is vital for staff development and motivation and ensuring that staff feel valued and engaged in their work at LSE.
I have also been substantially involved with Service Development Plans (SDPs). These aim to define what each service will contribute to the School's development over the next five years, with the emphasis on improvement of quality. But they also provide a means for all staff to become actively involved in the discussion and development of local priorities and objectives
There is now a webpage where you can access details of the forthcoming staff meetings and briefings (See Staff Briefings|). This site also contains an archive of the notes of previous briefings and Howard Davies's termly reports to the School, and provides links to other related sites. I hope you find it useful."
