Destinations of graduates 3 years on...

The LSE Careers Service runs an annual survey to see what our graduates are doing three years after leaving the School - the class of 2001 were surveyed in 2004, and so on. The following is a comparative summary of their destinations.   For HESA's national version of this survey, please see their 2005 Longitudinal summary|

Class of 2003 (surveyed 2006) Class of 2004 (surveyed 2007) Class of 2005 (surveyed 2008)   Class of 2005 (national average)

Average salaries 3 years after graduating

Disclosing salary information is not compulsory on the longitudinal survey.  Because LSE students go on to work around the world in a variety of sectors, from field work for charities in third world countries to hedge funds, salaries vary wildly - from £1000 p/a to £800,000!  Below are the average salaries of all those who responded to the survey as employed, by year group:

              Class of 2003:        £34,395
              Class of 2004:        £39,838
              Class of 2005:       £39,262

Class of 2005:      £24,500
          (national average)

Response rates for this survey

Unlike the DLHE survey, LSE's own longitudinal survey is not compulsory to all UK universities - it is for our research purposes only.  We have no target response rates for the survey.
