Getting involved

Calling LSE graduates!

There are lots of ways to get involved with LSE after you leave.  If you're employed and want to help or inspire prospective or current students, then how about writing a profile for the Graduate Destinations website?  You can also become a Professional Mentor|, to meet and help other LSE alumni around the world, or offer an internship to an LSE student or recent graduate| to improve their employability.
For those who are less content in their jobs or further study and graduated less than two years ago, the Careers Service| could help.

Graduate profiles on the LSE website

We are continually looking for alumni to contribute to our online graduate profiles. You can find examples of our existing Graduate Profiles| online. Volunteers are asked to complete a short questionnaire to tell us about their career since graduating and reflect on their time at LSE. The aim of these profiles are to highlight the different career paths open to LSE graduates and allow alumni to share their experiences and advice with current and prospective students.

Volunteers are asked to download and complete the short questionnaire below and return it by email to graduate.destinations@lse.ac.uk| along with a photo of yourself to accompany your profile. Returning the questionnaire by email will be considered a signed response for Data Protection purposes but please be assured that LSE Careers Service will not publish your contact details/email addresses etc, and will not permit readers to contact you via the website. The responses you provide to the questionnaire will be edited into a graduate profile similar to those already online so the more detail you can provide then the more comprehensive your profile will be.

If you are an LSE alumni and interested in sharing your experience, then a take a look at the LSE Graduate Profiles Questionnaire|!

If you have further questions about this project then please email graduate.destinations@lse.ac.uk|.

Offering an LSE student/graduate an internship at your place of work

Employers continue to take on interns from LSE year after year as they are seen to provide a cost effective resource that is able to contribute and assist in the everyday functions and various projects that a business might have. Internships also present an excellent opportunity to test the water with a potential future employee but with out any long term obligations. Internships and work placements are not only of great benefit to the student/graduates university experience and employability prospects but they can also provide an excellent and value adding resource to any company.

If you are currently employed within a company and/or at a level where you are able to offer a placement or internship to a fellow LSE student, then please get in touch with a member of the employer liaison team at careers.recruitstudents@lse.ac.uk| to discuss the opportunities available to you.
