The School recognises that problems or queries relating to an individual's employment will arise from time to time.
The aim of the School's Grievance Procedure is to provide a fair process for individual employees to obtain a speedy resolution to problems relating to their employment.
Wherever possible, such difficulties will be resolved as they arise, by the appropriate manager in the workplace as part of the normal management process. Every attempt should be made to resolve issues at an early informal stage.
Where it proves impossible for the two parties to achieve resolution, the School may appoint a mediator to help towards resolution, if both parties are agreeable.
Where resolution has not been possible through informal means, the individual may wish to submit a formal grievance, using the grievance procedures. In such cases, advice should be sought from their HR Partner in relation to the appropriate procedure.
