Call for contributions

'Call for contributions'
CLOSED on 26 February

 The programme committee invites submissions from LSE staff on a wide range of topics. Panel discussions, workshops, presentations, demonstrations, case studies are all welcome approaches.

Topics for submission may include:

  • challenges and innovations in teaching
  • supporting student learning
  • feedback and assessment
  • research led teaching
  • technologies in teaching and learning

Submission process

Submissions should be made using the online submission form |by 26 February 2012, 23:59.

ALL submission formats require a title and a summary. The summary should briefly describe the topic to be presented. The summary should be a minimum of 250 words and no more than 400 words.

Submissions should be suitable for 45 min or 1 hour slots.

Submissions must include the full name (title, first name, surname), the email address and the department of the lead presenter. Please indicate clearly the full name (title, first name, surname) of all the additional presenters.

Notification of selected abstracts:  

All submissions will be reviewed by the programme committee, chaired by Professor Janet Hartley, Pro-Director (Teaching & Learning). Selected submissions will be notified for presentation by 9 March 2012.

Important dates:

Abstract submission deadline: 17 February 2012 - Extended until 26 February, 23:59
Notification of abstract acceptance: 9 March 2012
Registration opens: 26 March 2012
Registration closes: 11 May 2012
LSE Teaching Day 2012: 22 May 2012
