Undergraduates
Before withdrawing permanently from a course of study, you are advised to meet with your Academic Adviser or supervisor to discuss the options available to you. It may be more appropriate for you to interrupt your studies instead - see Interruption of registration (undergraduate)|.
Students can also speak to the Students' Union Advice and Counselling Centre.|
If you wish to withdraw from your undergraduate degree programme, you should print off the form "Request To Withdraw" (PDF)|, (Word)|. This form can also be found at the Student Services Centre. Once you have completed the form, please submit it for confirmation to your Academic Adviser or departmental administrator. After the form is signed, they will pass it to Student Services Centre.
After the form is received by Student Services Centre, you might be contacted by one of the members of staff to confirm and discuss your decision. Subsequently, the form will be submitted for processing and you will receive an email confirmation of your withdrawal within 3 working days from that date (except during the main registration period in September/October, when it may take longer).
Please complete the form fully including reason for withdrawal. Please note that any incomplete forms may delay processing your withdrawal from your course.
Fees
Students are liable to pay fees up to the Friday after the last day of attendance. You will not be charged your tuition fees if you withdraw before 31 October. Once the registry has received notification of withdrawal, the fees office will be instructed to refund any surplus fees paid to students at their permanent home address. Students should ensure via LSE for You| that the address we have on the school database is the current one.
