If you know in advance that you are unable to attend the ceremony you may wish to defer to the following year. You must defer by twelve months so that you attend the correct ceremony. PhD and HEPM students can defer from July to December, or vice versa, as they are represented at both ceremonies.
How to defer ceremonies
Please complete and submit the online Ceremony Deferral Form|.
Brochure and merchandise listing
Please note that your name will only be printed on the merchandise and brochure| lists from the year you graduated and will not be included on the lists of the ceremony to which you deferred.
Degree Certificates
Certificates are issued in the year you successfully completed your programme, so the issuing of your certificate will not be delayed should you request to defer ceremonies. Please see Degree Certificates| for details.
