Library supports LSE students during exam period|

The Library is pleased to announce that LSE students will have priority access to the Library during the examination period from 25 March to 28 May 2013.

Access to the Library by the wider public will be restricted during this time, with certain exceptions, in order to support the studies of LSE students during this busy period.

For more information about the access changes, please visit our Membership pages.|

Library Building Work |

Over the next year, Library space will be increased and improved for our users. This will enable the Library to develop its study zones, with more group working space for students and silent areas for research.

Toilet Refurbishment Works|

The toilet refurbishment works in the Library are now approaching a stage where the contractors must cut through the floor. Unfortunately this will involve some noise disruption.

The works will take place on Friday 24 May between 7 am and 9 am. The areas that are expected to be affected by the noise are the lower ground floor, ground floor and first floor. The Library apologises for any inconvenience caused.

Additional Study Space made available for LSE students|

We are pleased to announce that additional study spaces will be made available to LSE students visiting the Library during April and May 213.

From April, the meeting room R301 on the 3rd Floor will be turned into a temporary silent study area for LSE students, providing an additional 30 study spaces.

In anticipation of the busy examination period, the Library has installed 37 extra study spaces for LSE students across all four floors.

Bookable study spaces

|

LSE students can now book study spaces on-line @ LSEforYou| for up to 6 hours a day.  Spaces on the 3rd, 4th and silent ground floor area can be booked up to 7 days in advance.

The Women's Library @ LSE|

Following the transfer of ownership of The Women's Library to LSE earlier this year, the process of moving the collection to its new home at the Library has begun.

The Women’s Library @ LSE is Europe’s largest collection of material relating to the lives of women and a key part of British heritage.
