The catalogue of the papers of the Campaign for an Independent Britain (CIB) is now available online through the Archives catalogue|.
The collection comprises material relating to the Campaign (1990-2007) and its predecessors: the Common Market Safeguard Campaign (1969-1976), the Safeguard Britain Campaign (1976-1982), and the British Anti-Common Market Campaign (1982-1989). It includes:

extensive correspondence consisting mainly of letters to and from Sir Robin Williams.
Included in the collection are also papers relating to other associated groups and organisations, particularly:

Anti-Common Market League, which became Get Britain Out in 2007 and is affiliated to CIB;

National Common Market Petition Council which, launched in 1970, collected over 750,000 signatures imploring the Queen to give her subjects the opportunity to express their opinion about joining the Common Market;

National Referendum Campaign (an umbrella organisation created to co-ordinate the efforts of the Anti-Common Market League, the Common Market Safeguard Campaign, and Get Britain Out).
