The Ionian Bank Limited collection includes the Court of Directors' minute book series. The Court of Directors was based in London and was responsible for the formulation and development of Bank policy and strategy. The Court of Directors met at regular intervals to discuss matters such as to the establishment and progress of various committees, the appointment of Directors and Managers of the Bank, the opening of new branches and agencies, and changes in the administrative structure of the bank. The resolutions of these meetings were recorded in the minute books which constitute section 3 of the Ionian Bank collection.
The first twelve minute books are arranged chronologically and span the years 1839 to 1917. They have been digitised and are now available on-line for researchers to browse using the links below.
Please note that minute books containing more than 200 images have been split into two PDF documents in order to reduce download time and that you will need Adobe Acrobat to view the following PDF documents.
