Finance and General Purposes Committee
The Finance and General Purposes Committee was set up by the Executive Committee in April 1907 and first met on the 26th. Until that time its functions had been performed by the Executive Committee and in particular by the Treasurer. Its terms of reference, given at the beginning of the minute book D/1, were wide. Six bound minute books, D/1-6, present a continuous record from 1907 to December 1938. Minutes for the years 1939-46 are included in C/20 (available above) and C/23 (not available online, but can be consulted in the LSE Archives reading room). D/7 contains the minutes for 1946-54.
