Conservatives for Europe

The Conservative Group for Europe was founded in the 1970s to promote Britain's membership of the European Union.

The group sought to promote the principles of an open market and a responsible engagement in world affairs.

Its members have included Kenneth Clarke, Quentin Davies and Lord Inglewood.

The Conservative Group for Europe seeks to influence the Conservative Party on European matters and its activities include hosting debates on European issues, publishing policy research and campaigning in European elections.
