The collection includes issues from 1971 to 1982 of Lotta Continua, the newspaper of the far left Italian political party of the same name, and issues of Quotidiano dei Lavoratori, a newspaper of the extra-Parliamentary left. The material relates to left-wing issues including abortion legislation, anti-nuclear campaigns, women rights, workers conditions and Italian "special prisons". Events covered include the murder of former prime minister Aldo Moro and the subsequent trial.
