Access to Electronic Resources

All electronic resources subscribed to by LSE Library are available via the Library Catalogue|. Please see below for information about passwords and access restrictions.

LSE Members

LSE staff and students can access the majority of our electronic collection whether on or off campus using your LSE username and password. Sometimes to login you may need to look for the 'institutional logon' or 'UK federation' option (LSE no longer uses the 'Athens logon' system).

A very small number of resources require other usernames and passwords. To obtain these go to LSE for You| and select the Library passwords page.

Alumni

Alumni may use a large number of our resources (where licenses permit) without a password from the Visitor PCs and Alumnus PCs on the First Floor of the Library. They are not able to access any LSE Library electronic resources remotely.
