This page is a guide to Internet sites maintained by inter-governmental organisations. It is not a guide to the collections of international organisations' material at the Library although it is restricted to those organisations in which the Library has an interest and it does have some information local to the Library.
It includes links to European Union and United Nations sites but for a fuller description of these see the separate guides. The sites covered are overwhelmingly those of inter-governmental organisations (IGOs) although some international non-governmental organisations (INGOs) are represented where thought appropriate.
Please be aware that sites vary in quality and quantity of information provided. Some indication of the contents of each site is given but this is no substitute for exploring what is available oneself.
Organisations are arranged by broad subject areas. The list is limited to those organisations for which the Library holds publications and/or documents. The Library holds publications (and sometimes documents) of all the organisations mentioned unless otherwise stated. The abbreviations given are those used in the Library.
