SCONUL Access

SCONUL Access is the Higher Education scheme providing borrowing privileges and reference access to university libraries across the UK. For further details of the scheme and a full list of member libraries see www.access.sconul.ac.uk|.

Borrowing privileges

The following categories are eligible to borrow under the SCONUL Access scheme:

  • member of staff
  • research student registered for a PhD, MPhil or equivalent

Please bring your university ID card and SCONUL Access borrowing card (obtainable from your home library) with you on your visit.

 

University of London  

Academic staff and research degree students (PhD, MPhil) are provided with reference access on production of a university ID card.

A SCONUL Access card will still need to be provided for borrowing privileges.

 All visitors should complete our online Self Registration form| before their visit.  

Applications may take up to 2 working days after registering at the Library Reception desk with your card.  A temporary reference pass will be provided if your card cannot be issued straight away.

Access to Course Collection material

The Course Collection area contains reading list material which is only available to LSE students and staff during LSE term times. Please check the availability of material on our Library Catalogue| before your visit.
