Finding ebooks on the Library Catalogue
The easiest way to access most ebook content is to search the Library Catalogue|, just like you would for printed books. If the title is available electronically, you will notice that it is marked at 'Electronic' and has no location or classmark. Ebooks have seperate catalogue records from printed items.
Direct from provider websites
Ebook providers usually have search/browse facilities for their own e-book content. As you explore, you should note that you may come across unsubscribed content as we do not necessarily subscribe to all the titles on offer. Please check with the Library if there is anything you can't access. Here are some of our largest ebooks suppliers:
Google Books
Many digitised books are available via Google Books|. Those out of copyright are often available in full text. Due to copyright restrictions, many books will only have a few chapters available, or may be missing some pages.
You can check to see if books that the Library holds are available on Google Books by clicking on the link in any catalogue record.
Freely Available Ebooks
