The Library held its Annual Book Sale on 15 and 16 February and is pleased to announce that it was a great success.
The sale gave students a great opportunity to purchase titles at huge discounts and feedback from customers suggested the event proved to be very popular. Over £600 of sales were recorded within the first two hours, surpassing expectations.
Removal of around 2000 kg of books from the Library has ensured that valuable space has now been made available and with around 2000 books sold at £1 each, the Library Fund has managed to accumulate valuable additional funds which will be used to purchase new stock and generally help enhance the user experience. Stock that remained unsold has subsequently been donated to local charities and social enterprise ventures such as the LSE READ| project.'
