A major piece of artwork called Bluerain by Michael Brown has been donated to the School and installed on the Library building on the corner where the Plaza meets Portugal Steet.
This video shows a recent test installation of the artwork in San Francisco, where the artist lives: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VF7iqjh4EAE|. The layers of text that makes up the "rain" in Bluerain will actually be live research from within the Library and include subject searches to the Library Catalogue, and titles of books as they are being checked in and out of the Library. It uses less power than a 100 watt lightbulb.

The official launch ceremony will take place on Tuesday October 6th.
