WHAT IS A COURSE PACK?
Copies of journal articles and book chapters selected by your teacher required as class reading bound into a volume and available for order by LSE students.
HOW DO I ORDER A PACK?
Course packs need to be ordered online from the Library section of the Lse for You website:
http://www.lse.ac.uk/lseforyou/|
An order confirmation email will be sent to your LSE email address.
DO I HAVE TO BUY MULTI-VOLUME PACKS TOGETHER?
Some teachers request large number readings that necessitate creating multi-volume packs. Each is sold separately and need not be purchased at the same time.
HOW MUCH WILL THE PACK COST?
The cost of packs varies depending on the number of articles/chapters in them and if the items need copyright clearance. The Library has paid these fees on your behalf but we do unfortunately have to pass these costs on to you. We work very hard to make sure the packs are as cheap as possible - we do not make a profit from the service. The price is displayed at the point of order in LSE for You.
HOW DO I PAY?
Payment is taken at the point of ordering and payment is processed via LSE for You. If you are unable to use the LSE Wallet function of LSE for You please contact Teaching Support (email address overleaf).
WHEN CAN I COLLECT MY PACK?
You will be sent an email to your LSE email address when your pack is ready to be collected. This is usually 1-2 working days from when the pack is ordered.
WHERE DO I COLLECT MY PACK FROM?
Bring your student ID card to the Library Service Counter on the Ground Floor during staffed hours. Mid morning and afternoon are especially busy and you may have to queue to collect your pack. Avoid these times if possible.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON'T COLLECT MY PACK?
If you do not collect your pack you will be emailed and reminded that it is ready. Any packs not charged for may be removed without notice and you will need to re-order the pack. Any packs left at the end of each term will be removed without notice.
THE PACK I WANT ISN'T LISTED ON LSE for You
Not every course has a Library paper course pack. Please check with your tutor, the pack may be produced by the Students Union, be an epack (available via Moodle), or the pack may not be ready for sale.
CAN I GET A REFUND?
We do not offer refunds if you change your mind or course options after purchasing your pack. Please check carefully that the pack is the one you requested at the time of purchase.
CAN I GET A REPLACEMENT PACK?
We print course packs throughout the academic year. If you need another copy please re-order your pack via LSE for You. We are unable to replace the pack free of charge.
WHEN IS THE LIBRARY SERVICE COUNTER OPEN?
During term time the Service counter is open as below. Please check the Library's website for opening hours at other times.
Monday to Friday 9am to 8pM
Saturday and Sunday 11am to 6pm
