Study Spaces
Study spaces are available throughout the Library - primarily at the quieter perimeters of the building. The majority of the Library's 1,740 study places are offered on a 'first come, first served' basis, with the following exceptions:
-
Quiet study areas are available on the ground and first floors
-
A study area specifically for LSE research students is available on the first floor
-
Designated book-able study spaces are available on the ground and fourth floor. Please book via the Library section on LSEforYou. These study spaces can be booked in two hour slots up to four hours a day -up to seven days in advance. Additional study areas are designated as bookable during the exam period and information about this will be publicized nearer to the time in the relevant areas.
Additional quiet study space is available in the New Academic Building. Room 2.19 on the second floor has 20 seats and can be accessed by all LSE students. Library staff will check the room on a regular basis.
Further study space is normally made available by the School during exams- check the list of additional study spaces on campus (only live after Easter)
Group study rooms
Study rooms are available for LSE students to do group work without disturbing others in the Library.
Study rooms are available for between two and eight people - four rooms currently have computers.
Study rooms can be in very high demand so groups can book a maximum of two hours per day only.
Study room bookings need to be submitted via LSEforYou| under the Library section.
