About me

Rowena is the Liaison Librarian for the Departments of Sociology, Social Policy and related research centres having worked previously as a liaison/subject librarian for various arts and social science subjects at Brunel University and the University of Exeter. At LSE she takes the lead on the Library's information skills programme, most notably MI512 and the Library Companions series in Moodle, and is one of the Library's Endnote specialists. She is currently undertaking the LSE Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education.
Her main professional interests are information literacy and support for researchers.

A Chartered Librarian, Rowena takes a close interest in the profession, with a long involvement with the Career Development Group|, one of the Special Interest Groups of CILIP|, the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals. She was honoured to be President of the Group 2007-2008 and was a CILIP Councillor and trustee from 2006-2007.
