How do I save my own Bibliographic styles?

If you are accessing Endnote on a networked School PC and need to edit an existing bibliographic style to suit your own needs then you must copy it into your H space before editing. If you need to add a file, again you must save this into your H space.

Files are stored on the School's central server, Server W-use windows explorer and Navigate to W/Library/Endnote X4/Output Styles to see the full list of bibliographic styles. These are all .ens files. Copy the file you wish to edit and paste it into your H space in e.g. your Endnote X4 styles folder.

Endnote automatically defaults to searching the centrally held files on Server W, and you will need to change this in order to access your H space:

  1.  In Endnote Choose Edit/Preferences/Folder Locations
  2. Click the appropriate Select Folder button to navigate to your H space
  3. Just Navigate back to the central server, Server W if you wish to return to the centrally available files.

You can now edit your style in Endnote via Edit/Output Styles/Open style manager
