The Library tries to obtain every LSE course reading list before the start of teaching, to ensure that adequate numbers of books are available for students.
Advice for LSE course teachers
The Library's Teaching Support Services team processes a large number of reading lists and undertake a significant programme of book purchasing each year. To ensure the books for your course are ready before the start of teaching please send us details of your requirements to Library.Teaching.Support@lse.ac.uk| . While we do not have deadlines for purchasing material, the sooner your requirements are known by us the more likely the books will be available when required. Please provide the following information:
-
The full citation of book(s) required
-
The course code of the course the books are required for
-
An indication of which books are essential and which are background works. Essential texts are obtained in proportion to student numbers registered or expected on the course, one copy of each background work is purchased.
If you are able to provide us with updates to a list that we have previously processed, rather than a repeat of the full list, that would be extremely helpful.
